| There are two ways to link to an Internet address (URL) in an Article Window: active links or hypertext links.
| In general, if the explicit URL itself appears within the text of your article, it becomes a clickable link which is called an active link. To create an implicit link to a URL from any arbitrary text in your article, use hypertext links.
| To use either type of link, first:
| Make sure that the Article Window is open.
| If the Article Window is not open, double-click on the article's title in the Titles column of the Index Window. Refer to the procedure for Entering New Information to create a new article.
| Click on the location in the Article Content area of the window where you want to put the link.

| Any text string starting with a valid URL prefix is treated as a Internet address link. For a list of the valid URL prefixes, click here.
| Clicking on most link types opens your default Web browser and sends the URL to it. Clicking on a mailto: URL should open your e-mail client application.
