| You can associate any disk file with an article by creating an article attachment. To create a file attachment:

| Make sure that the Article Window is open.
|
|
|
| If the Article Window is not open, double-click on the article's title in the Titles column of the Index Window. Refer to the procedure for Entering New Information to create a new article.
|
|
|
| Click on the Article Attachment button on the Toolbar. |
| OR Select the Article Properties command from the Article menu.
|
|
|
| The Article Properties dialog box is displayed.
|
|
|
| Select the Attachment tab.
|
|
|
| If you used the Article Attachment button on the Toolbar, you are already at the Attachment tab.
|
|
|
| In the Attachment Type box, select File Name.
|
|
|
| In the Target box, type the name of the file you want to associate with this article.
|
| OR Click the Browse button to locate the file you want from the Select Attachment File dialog box.

|

| The file is now associated with this article. A paper clip icon |
|
|
| TIP: | Another way to attach a file to an article is by dragging its file name directly from Windows Explorer into the corresponding Article Window.
