To add new information to your Personal Knowbase data file, you need to create a new article:

Make sure that a data file is currently open.

If no data file is open, the Index Window does not appear. Refer to the procedures for Creating a New Data File or Opening an Existing Data File.

Click on the New Article button on the Toolbar.
OR Select the New Article command from the Article menu.

A blank Article Window is displayed.

Type a title for the new article in the first edit box.

The title is a name used to uniquely distinguish this article of information.

Click on the large Article Content area of the window.

Type or Paste the article content.

Enter the information you want to store.
You probably want to add keywords to your article. See the procedure for Assigning a Keyword to an Article.

Click on the window's close box to close and save the article.

This saves the article permanently in the data file. The title of the new article is displayed in the Titles column of the Index Window.
If no keywords have been assigned to the article, you are now given a chance to do so. Select OK to leave the article without keywords.
