To write information from Personal Knowbase articles to external HTML files:

Select the Export command from the File menu.

The Export Articles Setup dialog box is displayed.

From the Export Range box, select which articles to write to HTML files.

You may export all the articles in your data file, only the bookmarked articles, the currently selected articles (if a list of articles is selected), only articles highlighted in the Titles column, or just the current article (if an Article Window is the current window).

From the Export What box, make sure that at least Include Titles and Include Article Content are selected.

To sort the articles by their article dates, select Dates from the Sort by box.

If you leave Titles selected, the articles are sorted by their titles.

Check the Export Articles as Separate Files checkbox.

This creates a separate HTML file for each article in your article range. If you do not check this box, all articles are exported into a single HTML file.

Select the OK button.

The Export Articles to Folder dialog box is displayed.

Select the HTML Files option in the Save as Type box.

Click the Browse button to select a folder for your exported files.

The Browse for Folder dialog box is displayed. This dialog box varies depending on your version of Windows. Highlight the folder that you want to write your exported files to, then select the OK button to return to the Export Articles to Folder dialog box. Your selected folder appears in the Target Folder field.

Select the OK button.

The HTML files are now written to disk. You can view the new files using your Web browser. In addition to a file for each article, Personal Knowbase has created a "Table of Contents" file called TOC.HTM which contains a list of all exported articles with links to their pages.

Before exporting, you may want to change the header for the exported files. Select the File Properties command from the File menu to edit the Export Header.
