Password-Protecting a Data File

You can make entire data files private with password protection. To protect all articles in a data file:

 

Select the File Properties command from the File menu.

 

The File Properties dialog box is displayed.

 

Select the Privacy tab.

 

If you have already set a password for this file, you are prompted to enter the password.

 

Click on the Password Protect All Articles checkbox.

 

Select the OK button.

 

If you have not previously specified a password for this data file, you are prompted to create a password.

 

The next time you open this data file, you will be prompted to enter your password before viewing any articles.

 

 

NOTE:Please remember your password. You will be required to give this password the next time you open this file. If you lose your password, you will lose access to your data file.
