Hiding Icons for Attachments in Article Windows

Glossary  Return to Start  Previous  Next

If an article has one or more attachments, you can view icons for the attachments in a pane at the bottom of the Article Window. This pane is called the Image Gallery.

If you do not want to view the Image Gallery in an Article Window, you can turn it off for all articles or hide it for the current Article Window.

To turn off the Image Gallery setting:

Select the Preferences command from the File menu.

The Preferences dialog box is displayed.

Select the Articles tab.

Click on the Show Image Gallery in Article Window checkbox to remove the check mark.

If the box is checked, the Image Gallery is shown whenever you open an article that has attachments. If the box is not checked, the Image Gallery is never displayed.

Select the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box.

To hide the Image Gallery for the current Article Window:

Select the Image Gallery command from the Article menu.

If this command is checked, the Image Gallery is showing for the current Article Window. Uncheck it to hide the pane.

You can also hide the Image Gallery pane by clicking on the horizontal "handle" between the main article content area and the Image Gallery.
