Copy Command (Edit Menu)

If the current active window is an Article Window or a Report Window, the Copy command copies the selected text to the Clipboard. You can then paste this text into a Personal Knowbase article or into another Windows application which supports Clipboard text.

 

If the current active window is the Index Window, the Copy command copies the entire selected article and puts it on the Clipboard. You can then paste the article as text into any other application which supports Clipboard text. You can also paste the article into any Personal Knowbase data file. This command is only available if appropriate data is currently selected. The copied data only remains on the Clipboard until you cut or copy another selection.

 

To access this command quickly, select the Copy button from the Standard Toolbar.

 

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C performs this command. To delete the data when putting it in the Clipboard, use the Cut Command (Edit Menu). To retrieve data from the Clipboard, use the Paste Command (Edit Menu).
