Use Format

If you select Custom Format Text Files in the Files of Type drop-down menu, you must specify which custom import format to use. Select an existing custom format from this menu. If you have not yet defined the format you want, click on the Manage Custom Formats button to create a format.

Manage Custom Formats Button

Opens the Manage Custom Formats Dialog Box where you can create, edit, or delete custom import formats.

Open Imported Articles

If this box is checked, newly imported articles are automatically opened, each in its own Article Window. If you are importing hundreds of articles at once, this may strain your Windows System Resources, and we recommend that you turn off this option.

Articles merged from other Personal Knowbase files are not opened regardless of whether this box is checked.

Options Button

Opens the Import tab of the Preferences Dialog Box (File Menu) so that you can change the options affecting importing.
