If the current active window is an Article Window, the Delete command removes the selected text.  You can retrieve the deleted text only by immediately selecting the Undo Command (Edit Menu).

 

If the current active window is the Index Window, the Delete command removes the selected keyword or article.  To delete any number of keywords or articles as a group, see Selecting Multiple List Items.  Deleting articles or keywords is not undoable.  Deleting a keyword from the Selected column of the Index Window moves the keyword to the Index column.

 

This command is only available if data is currently selected.

 

The keyboard shortcut Del performs this command.  To cut data to the Clipboard, use the Cut Command (Edit Menu).
