Opens an existing data file, closing any file currently open. This dialog box is displayed when you select the Open Command (File Menu). Select the Open button to open the file. Select Cancel to not open the file.

Look In

 

Select the folder that contains the file you want to open.

 

File Name

 

Select or type the name of the data file you want to open. All Personal Knowbase data files in the selected folder are shown.

 

Files of Type

 

Only Personal Knowbase data files may be opened with this command. To import text data from files in other formats, use the Import Command (File Menu).

 

Open as Read-Only

 

Check this box to open the file in read-only mode. In this mode, you cannot add new articles to the data file or modify existing articles.
