Manage Queries Dialog Box

Edits and deletes queries, or logical expressions, which you have previously created and saved for the current data file. You can also create new queries. This dialog box is displayed when you use the Manage Saved Queries Command (Edit Menu).

Existing Queries

 

Lists all queries which have been saved. Click on an existing query's name to view its query string and dates in the Query Text and Dates boxes.

 

Query Text

 

Shows the query string of the query that is highlighted in the Existing Queries box.

 

Dates

 

Shows the dates, if any, for the query that is highlighted in the Existing Queries box.

 

Buttons

 

New

Creates a new query from scratch from the New Query Dialog Box. After creating the query, you are prompted for a name to save the query.

 

Edit

Edits the query which is highlighted in the Existing Queries list by using the Edit Query Dialog Box.

 

Delete

Permanently deletes the query which is highlighted in the Existing Queries list.

 

Rename

Edits the name of the query which is highlighted in the Existing Queries list by using the Rename Query Dialog Box.

 

Run

Runs the query which is highlighted in the Existing Queries list.
