| To combine one keyword into another keyword:

|
| Make sure that the Index Window is the current window by clicking on the Index button on the Toolbar. |
| OR Select the Index command from the Window menu.
|

|
|
|
| Note that the keyword that you highlight will be deleted from the data file when it is merged into the other keyword.
|
|
|
| Select the Merge Keyword command from the Keyword menu.
|
|
|
| The Merge Keyword dialog box is displayed. The highlighted keyword is displayed at the top in the Merge: field.
|
|
|
| From the Into: column, select the keyword to merge into.
|
|
|
| Select the OK button to merge the keywords.
|
|
|
| You are asked to verify that you want to merge the first keyword into the second one. Click Yes to continue.
|
|
|
| The merged keyword is now deleted from the data file. All articles which were associated with the first keyword are now associated with the second keyword.
