PK Tip: Changing the Date Formats

Dates and times are used in several places in Personal Knowbase. Most important is the Article Date which is (optionally) shown in the Article Window and Index Window's Titles column.

Personal Knowbase uses the standard Windows date formats for its dates. So, you can change the format for any date from the Windows Control Panel, but keep in mind that this change would affect ALL your Windows programs that use the same date formats.

PK's "date" fields are affected by the Windows "short date" format. PK's "time" fields are affected by the Windows "long time" format.

How you change the Windows date formats depends on which version of Windows you're using.

Windows 8.1 and 10: Change these settings from the Control Panel's Clock, Language, and Region section under Region.

Windows 7: Change these settings from the Control Panel's Clock, Language, and Region section under Region and Language.

Windows XP: Change these settings from the Control Panel's Regional and Language Options section.

Windows 10 Control Panel
