Repairing the Personal Knowbase System |

If you are having problems running Personal Knowbase due to corrupted program files or settings, you can try to repair the software. The Repair function is part of the Uninstall software.
To repair the Personal Knowbase system:
| • | From the Start menu, locate the Personal Knowbase folder (by default "Bitsmith Software") and click on the menu item for Uninstall Personal Knowbase. |
The Uninstall software starts up. You are given options to Uninstall or Repair.
| • | Select Repair. |
| • | Select the Finish button. |
Repair launches the Personal Knowbase installation to repair the program files and settings.
| • | Follow the instructions on the screen. |
| NOTE: | We recommend exiting Personal Knowbase and closing this Help file before running Repair. |
The Repair re-installs all program files and re-initializes all program settings except for folder preferences. Your data files are untouched.
