Insert Date/Time Command (Edit Menu)

Inserts the current date or time (hours and minutes) or both into the current article.  Select whether to include the date, time, or both from the cascading menu.

 

The date and time are formatted using your current Windows format settings.  Use the Windows Control Panel to change your date ("short date") and time formats.

 

In Windows XP, these setting are found in the Control Panel's Regional and Language Options section.

 

In Windows 7, these setting are found in the Control Panel's Clock, Language, and Region section under Region and Language.

 

This command is only available if the current window is an Article Window and the cursor is in the content or title area.

 

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D inserts the date.  The shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T inserts the time.  The shortcut Ctrl+4 inserts the date and time.
