You can customize your Personal Knowbase screen in several ways. All windows can be resized in the normal Windows manner and can be minimized and maximized. Changes made to the main screen and Index Window apply to all future Personal Knowbase sessions. Following are additional changes you can make to the main screen.

To remove the Standard Toolbar, Formatting Toolbar, Tools Toolbar or Browse Toolbar from the screen:

Select the Standard Toolbar command, Formatting Toolbar command, Tools Toolbar command, or Browse Toolbar command from the View menu.

To redisplay the corresponding toolbar, select the command again.

To move a toolbar to another part of the screen:

Click on a part of the toolbar between buttons, such as a vertical line between button sections.

Hold the left mouse button down while moving the toolbar to its new location.

Release the left mouse button to drop the toolbar into place.

To change the size of the toolbars:

Select the Preferences command from the File menu.

The Preferences dialog box is displayed.

Click on the Display tab.

Click on the Use Large Buttons checkbox.

If the box is checked, toolbar buttons are larger. This can make toolbars easier to use with high resolution screens.

Select the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box.

To remove the Status Bar from the screen:

Select the Status Bar command from the View menu.

To redisplay the Status Bar, select this command again.
