| New forum is nice. Glad to see it, if only because it shows you guys are still committed to the program, which remains the best free-form information software out there. I have been using it for so long it's hard to imagine my writing life without it. |

Hi Seth,
It's good to see you're still around. I haven't heard from you in awhile. I see some other familiar names in the Memberlist as well. I got so frustrated with Yahoo that I let the old group die, but I'm looking forward to making this one real.
Yes, we are still committed to Personal Knowbase. Things are finally happening. Stay tuned... _________________ Laura Look

Yahoo is VERY frustrating. I had several birding and natural history lists there, but I finally got fed up and moved them to Google Groups.
Yeah, I'm still here and still using Knowbase every day. It runs here at home under Win4Lin. To a lesser extent, under wine, although it looks crappy in wine. I wind up using it most of the time at work. Best...

I would like to say thank you as well for this support forum. It's great to be able to post ideas, wishes, etc. The thing I loved the most since being a user over two years ago was the absolutely prompt reply from Laura to any of my e-mails. This graciousness allowed me to get a few other of my professor colleagues to purchase the product quite easily.
I use PK as my only database. It acts as the reference point for me in all my writing: articles, textbooks, class notes. I realize I do all the inputting, but in class, when a student asks a question, all I have to do is look up the reference, and voilą! In my graduate online classes, I can reply in 'magic fashion' with references and quotes almost instantly to student inquiries!
A great tool. I sure am hoping that an Alert feature is in 3.0. That's such a blessing because of the teaching I do, and the reminders I need for articles and references.
Again, thank you.

having a good place to put those gems of prose that come to you at odd hours before dawn and you have no idea when or where they are going to fit.
I have it loaded on my F: disk and it came through the last windows crash with everything there. Had to reload the application but once that was done PK was ready to rock and roll. |

Great package -- been using it for years and years -- I've even given away packages as Christmas presents.
Laura, I've not communicated with you for awhile. The form's a great idea. |
